What made this project a success?
Can you introduce yourself and your responsibilities?
I'm Whitney Miller, the training manager in the training and education team at Emory University's advancement and alumni engagement department. I am Tesia Ruch, a technical writer on the training and education team with Emory University.
What made you choose Lemon Learning?
We chose Lemon Learning because we were looking for a tool that would allow us to meet our users within the actual tool. Previously, we had used a lot of documentation and job aids, but we wanted something that would allow users to interact with similar content without having to leave our actual platform. We felt that if users stayed in the space where they are doing the work, it would lead to better learning outcomes and meet their needs "just in time".
The team from Lemon Learning was also a "catalyst" for our choice. We were comfortable with the team, and they have been with us every step of the way. They are quick to jump in and find a solution whenever we need to troubleshoot, like when a guide isn't working correctly. We also had the confidence that they would be there to support us as we learned the tool.
Can you describe how you use Lemon Learning in your work?
We use the Lemon Learning tool to provide an additional opportunity to support our users' learning. This sometimes takes the form of a training guide, which users can access by clicking on the lemon icon and doing a keyword search. Other times, it's a tool tip, which is an embedded information bubble on the screen that allows users to actively learn more on the page they are on.
In one sentence, how would you best describe Lemon Learning?
Lemon Learning is a tool that allows us to give our users in-the-moment help right inside their workflow, through things like step-by-step guides and helpful tool tips, meaning they don't have to leave our CRM to find the resources they need.
