Want to know what it’s like to work at Lemon Learning? Here’s a quick recap of our third annual team building retreat. This year, our office and remote teams journeyed to Deauville, in the picturesque region of Normandy. Our annual gatherings serve as a platform for the team to come together, assess our progress, and collaboratively shape new objectives. Given our commitment to offering full remote and hybrid opportunities, a primary focus is the continual enhancement of teamwork and collaboration between our teams. Here’s a breakdown of our planned activities.
Thursday
8:30 a.m. — Coach to Deauville: An early start with coffees in hand towards the coastal town of Deauville.
11:00 a.m. — Hotel check-in: This year, we checked in at Les jardins de Deauville. Our first priority…BBQ, and a quick speech from our CEO.

2:00 p.m. – Brainstorming session: After a short break, we get the brainstorming session underway. It’s important to define our OKRs as a team and share the same vision for the quarters ahead.

4:00 p.m. Physical activities: Each year, individuals choose a selection of team building activities that included adventure climbing, kayaking, paddleboarding and water parkour.

8:00 p.m. Dinner & festivities: Following a gourmet dinner under the stars, it was a chance to wind down and break the ice with a costume soirée and open bar.
Friday
Our final morning was a chance to socialize (and recover) with tennis, ping pong, swimming, and pétanque.

12:30 Group photos & lunch: Thanks to our remote opportunities, it’s not common to have us all in one place at the same time. Since last year, we’ve gained a lot of new faces.

2 p.m. Afternoon at the lake: Activities continued with a refreshing swim in the lake, a very long game of mini-golf and naps in the sun.

Our annual team-building event beautifully exemplifies the Lemon Learning philosophy, emphasizing both professional efficiency and employee well-being. These trips play a vital role in strengthening the bonds that foster our growth, both professionally and personally.
